---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------

Name: Obie
Age: 5
Gender: Gelding
Height: 16.2h
Breed: Clyde Cross
Colour: Bay
Markings: Three white socks, Star (very chromed out)
Vices: None (No buck, bolt, rear, bite or kick)
Discipline: English, Hunter, Dressage
Other: Great for Farrier, Vet, Braiding, Mane Pulling, Trailering, Tacking and Bathing

Background: Obie was purchased by Freestyle Farms for the sole purpose of being a Dressage Show horse. He has no prior injuries and is trained in minor dressage movements. He did not continue on the Dressage path (but is currently working at it now) as he was too young when originally bought and there was not enough time nor riders for him. His one flaw is his tail which we assume got caught in a bramble bush or was so full of burs that it was cut and is now short and uneven.

Temperament/Current History: You will not meet a sweeter horse than Obie; with his puppy dog personality he will follow you around the field nuzzling your shoulders and ears. Once he knows you Obie will come when he is called even from the back field. He has been out of work for a year and a bit and so has gotten a tad fat and lazy. He is a bit more whoa than go at the moment but with regular work that will easily change. He is very smart and quickly figures out what his rider asks of him. Obie loves to jump but is more suited to the hunter ring. His flashy looks and handsome, sweet face are sure to get noticed in the ring. He does need consistent work to get him ready for the show ring but he has lots of potential. He is a very easy keeper, barefoot and lives outdoors in a mixed herd 24/7. He is very easy to catch and lead around; he can be on crossties or tied up. He is good in a stall though as he currently lives outside it will take him some getting used to again.

Rider Type: Obie is great for every type of rider from beginner, too nervous, too advanced. He would make an excellent show horse as he is very level headed and calm. He recently spent some time with the Toronto Police and was very calm and sturdy while walking through Downtown Toronto traffic. Nothing phases this guy.
