Maritime Pressureworks Ltd. of Dartmouth is suing Arctic Combustion Ltd. of Milton, Ont., for $489,093.
The plaintiff alleged in Nova Scotia Supreme Court documents Monday that the defendant breached a 2012 contract under which Maritime Pressureworks was to be paid the amount claimed for work to be done at McCain plants in New Brunswick.
The plaintiff alleged the defendant unilaterally and without notice cancelled the contract in early 2013.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
Arctic Combustion officials could not be reached.
