Firefighters are currently battling a farmhouse fire on Tremaine Road, north of Lower Base Line.
The fire appears to have started in the basement or on the main floor about an hour ago and has now reached all levels of the home.
A lone occupant escaped with no injuries.
As a result of the fire, Tremaine Road is closed between Britannia Road and Lower Base Line.
