Milton’s convenient location just off Georgia Route 400 and its close proximity to Atlanta make it an ideal suburban living area for people who prefer an elegant Southern country lifestyle and can afford a beautiful home on one or more acres of land. The majority of Milton consists of neighborhoods containing from about 20 to several hundred custom built homes. Many neighborhoods were developed with amenities for residents such as swimming pools, clubhouses, playgrounds, horse stables and golf courses. Home prices range from several hundreds of thousands of dollars to several millions of dollars.

Commercially zoned land in Milton accounts for about 19% of the city’s total area, and it is found along Highway 9, on the north side of Windward Parkway, around Webb Road, and also at the intersection of Georgia Highways 140 and 372 where Crabapple Crossroads is situated. Many restaurants, shopping boutiques and specialty stores are located in this relatively small area in addition to Wal-Mart, Costco, Lowe’s Home Improvement Center, Home Depot, Super Target, Staples and Petco.
